MR (Machine Room) elevators use a separate room at the top of the shaft to house the drive motor. MRL (Machine Roomless) elevators integrate the motor into the shaft itself — typically at the top — eliminating the need for a separate room. MRL systems cost less to install (no machine room construction), use less energy (gearless VVVF drives), and free up valuable floor area. For most modern buildings, MRL is the default choice.
A conventional home lift demands a 1400 mm pit — you have to break the floor slab. Glide's Pitless Home Lift needs only 80 mm — about the thickness of a floor tile. The system uses a pre-engineered bolted steel shaft that sits on top of the existing slab. No under-floor civil work. No structural modification. The lift your home was never built for — now fits.
Yes. Our service team is trained on Otis, Schindler, Kone, Mitsubishi, and local OEM installations across Northeast India. We take over AMCs, modernize aging controllers, replace drives, and refurbish cabins regardless of original manufacturer. No orphan lifts.
Every new Glide installation ships with a 1-year comprehensive warranty covering parts and labour. Post-warranty, our AMC plans start at ₹18,000/year for home lifts and scale by capacity and trip frequency for commercial units. All AMCs include quarterly preventive maintenance, 24/7 breakdown response across Assam, and discounted modernization at year 10.
Home / Villa (Pitless): 7 – 14 days from shaft delivery. Passenger MRL in a ready shaft: 3 – 4 weeks. Passenger MR: 5 – 6 weeks. Hospital and Freight: 6 – 8 weeks. Scenic / Panoramic: 8 – 10 weeks (custom glass). These are commissioning times — manufacture typically runs 4 – 6 weeks in parallel with site preparation.
